Hardware is relatively easy, but getting software play nice is the biggest challenge for many cord cutters.
The Media Experience Blueprint is a "must-have" resource for technology enthusiasts who wish to enjoy their media on their way.
It’s like having a friendly coach, someone like me, sitting right next to you on your couch, showing you exactly what to do to set up a user-friendly and enjoyable TV and media experience.
How I end up mastering HTPC
I've always enjoyed tinkering with new technology.
Since modding my Xbox in 2002, I've been testing different hardware and software trying to perfect my media experience.
Over the years I have learned that the hardware is easy to put together, but setting up software is more difficult.
I built my own as I do not find the commercial media players having everything I want.
I invested a big part of my free time into figuring out how truly automate and personalize my HTPC so that it best serves my and wife's requirements.
But it was so hard.
Even when I consider myself technically skilled, I always ended up having issues with the reliability and user-friendliness.
What did I do?
So, I started to learn what others were doing by
...watching every tutorial,
...reading every comment,
...in every forum,
to find clues what works and what doesn't.
I became obsessed.
I had already used so much time figuring all out, so I became determined trying to master HTPC ... which I eventually end up doing.
There is no single manual for doing all of this
In 2009, I created a blog called "My Media Experience".
I started to write posts about my experiences what really works and what does not work. Over the years my audience grew and I realized that there is a big need for this kind of information.
Over 3 million people visits my site every year in search of tutorials to help with their HTPC hobby.
A while ago, I asked from My Media Experience blog readers what is their biggest challenge with their HTPC.
I received over 2300 awesome responses and the message was clear: The biggest challenge with their media solution is setting up software, keeping everything working and making the system easy enough for a non-technical spouse to use without constant frustration.
It was then I had an epiphany.
There is no single manual for doing this, but everyone needs go via learn by trial and error path.
While My Media Experience website was already helping many people, information was still scattered and incomplete.
A complete leveling-up blueprint
As you need to combine several software and methods to get everything working hassle-free, this is not something you can find easily available by searching Google.
I have spent thousands of hours in perfecting these training modules over several years.
The Media Experience Blueprint has been divided into two parts:
The Hardware Training Modules are ready and published to all registered members.
Please note that I have not yet published the Software Training Modules as I want to make sure it is easy to follow and solves most of the HTPC software problems my readers are struggling with.
I (and my family members) know that it is not easy to create this level of automation and user experience.
Your family will thank you for taking these training modules and applying the step-by-step lessons in practice.
